Days after sharing with her fans that her father had passed away, Demi Lovato reached out again on Saturday (June 29) to let them know he was laid to rest.
The “Give Your Heart a Break” songstress tweeted, "Today I put my Daddy to rest.... hardest thing I've ever done.. But I know great things will come of this...”
She continued, "There's an overwhelming sense of peace knowing my dad is no longer battling his demons anymore and that makes me so happy.”
Though they had a strained relationship, the 20-year-old told “Good Morning America” on Thursday "My father and I didn't have the most ideal relationship. But at the end of the day, he's still my dad. And I grew up with him, he was a wonderful person. And it's difficult. But I'm handling it OK."
