Kate Middleton & Prince William: First Photos Of Royal Baby Revealed

What a royal cutie! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge presented the Prince of Cambridge on July 23, just one day after Kate gave birth — and we are so excited to finally know what the baby looks like!

The whole world has been anxious to see Kate Middleton and Prince William‘s baby for nine months, and the time has finally come! Kate and William presented their new baby boy on the steps of St. Mary’s Hospital on July 23. We’re so happy for the adorable royal family! And we are seriously just gushing over the little Prince.

As royal sources announced prior to the baby’s birth, Kate and William introduced their baby to the world on the steps of St. Mary’s Hospital, as thousands of spectators and photographers looked on, excited to catch a glimpse of the baby boy. The royal baby was unveiled on July 23 as the new family left the hospital, one day after Kate gave birth.

Kate looked great — especially only one day after having a baby! — in a perfectly appropriate baby blue polka-dot dress, glowing while showing off her newborn. William definitely filled the role of supportive husband and doting father as he stood by her side in a matching baby blue button-down shirt.

William’s late mother Princess Diana also wore polka dots when she carried baby William out, so we’re thinking it could have been a tribute. She was dawning the beautiful sapphire ring that once belonged to Diana, as well.

Royal Couple Give First Interview As Parents

They both looked happier than ever to finally be parents to the little one! Even the adorable new baby, who was wrapped in a cream-colored baby, reached his hand out to give a royal wave! Kate handed their new baby, who doesn’t yet have a name, to a nervous Prince William. They then answered their first questions as new parents!

“He’s got a good pair of lungs! He’s a big boy, he’s quite heavy,” William joked while cradling the baby. “He’s got her looks, thankfully!” “He’s got more hair than me,” he added.

William stated that it has been a “very emotional” experience. The Duchess added in, “Any parent knows what this feeling feels like.”

“Luckily, he’s got his mom’s looks,” William added in with a laugh. “He’s got more hair than me!” He also added in that the new prince “got her looks, thankfully.”

“He’s done his first nappy [diaper],” Kate proudly said of her husband. She also said the birth “was very emotional. It is such a special time.”

“I’ll remind him of his tininess when he’s a bit older,” William added. “I know how long you’ve all been sat out here, hopefully the hospital and you guys can all get back to normal now and we can look after him.”

For those of you who are wondering about when the name will be revealed — it seems the royal couple hasn’t made a final choice just yet!

“We’re still working on a name,” Prince William said. “We’ll have that as soon as we can. It’s the first time we’ve seen him really, so we haven’t gotten a proper chance to catch up.”

Kate Middleton & Prince William Welcome Baby Boy

Kate delivered a healthy baby boy at 4:24 p.m. local time at July 22 in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital, the same wing Princess Diana gave birth to William and Prince Harry! His Royal Highness the Prince weighed in at 8 pounds 6 ounces.

The prince’s gender, weight and time of birth were revealed on a wood and gold easel just inside the gates of Buckingham Palace as soon as he was born. It was only a matter of time before Kate and William presented their newborn on the steps of the hospital, as they were making their way out, Kensington Palace-bound.

We know Kate and William are so thrilled to finally have a little one in their lives, and we couldn’t be more excited to already know what the royal baby looks like!

After they leave the hospital, “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their son will travel home to Kensington Palace,” says an official statement from Kensington Palace, released at 6:10 p.m. local time on July 23.

“Their Royal Highnesses would like to reiterate their thanks to the hospital for the care and treatment they have all received,” the statement also reads.

Although Kate’s due date was never officially confirmed, U.K. reports are insisting she’s due on July 13. Everyone is waiting for the historic event, but Clarence House firmly believe the baby could come at any time! A rep for the royal couple tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY:

Babies come when they want to, so we will see!

But as soon as Kate goes into labor, there will be no question — everyone will know that the royal baby is on the way!

When the Duchess is admitted to the hospital and is safe and secure, we will release a press release. So far, that has not happened.

It looks like we will soon know what the baby will look like!

Prince William & Kate Middleton’s Child-to-Be Gets Official Title

Things are tense in London as the whole world anticipates the birth of Prince William and Kate Middleton's baby, and the soon-to-be-born just received a Royal moniker.
Regardless of the gender of the child, he or she will be called His or Her Royal Highness the Prince or Princess of Cambridge.
Paul Sandars, the Mayor of Cambridge told press, “I think the title is a great honor. I think it's lovely to continue the close link with the royal family."
"I think anything which helps to keep Cambridge in the public eye is a good thing as we rely on tourism."
Former mayor Sheila Stewart added, “There have been some dukes of Cambridge, but never a prince or princess. It can only be good news for Cambridge. Everyone is so excited about it. The whole country is waiting for the birth."

Just days before the royal baby is born, a new book’s never-before-revealed details remind us that the adorable family almost never happened.

All is good for Kate Middleton and Prince William – their relationship is strong and their first child’s due date is rapidly approaching. But before all of the sunshine and rainbows, Kate and William’s relationship was hanging by a thread before the Duke of Cambridge came to his senses.

The secrets of Kate and William’s split and subsequent reunion have now been exposed in a new book titled Kate by Michael O’Mara. Kate breaks down the royal couple’s 2007 breakup in extreme detail, describing how Kate and William came to a serious crossroad after dating for four years:

When his father Charles was wooing Diana and the relationship reached a crossroads, Prince Philip told him that he needed to take action one way or another. And Charles proposed. When William was faced with a similar dilemma he went the other way.

Kate was devastated by the breakup, O’Mara writes, which only became worse when William went to a London nightclub, flirted with countless girls, and even stood on a table at one point and screamed, “I’m free!”

But the future Duchess got her revenge. Kate started a campaign of going out more and doing her own share of flirting after the split: “Her dresses grew shorter, her tops lower… Once inside a party she put on a pair of pink silk bunny ears and proceeded, as one partygoer put it, to ‘tease all the boys.’”

Kate’s tactics worked. Apparently compelled by his father’s realization too late that he had failed to marry his first true love, Camilla Shand, William realized that he’d had what he wanted all along with Kate, and began trying to prove himself worthy of her.

William pulled out all the stops to woo Kate back. “We were both finding ourselves and being different characters,” Prince William stated. “It was very much trying to find our own way and we were growing up so it was just a bit of space and it worked out for the better.”

Once back together, the couple determined that nothing was going to split them up, and Kate recounts the days leading up to their engagement:

Kate and William had a lot to discuss, and some lost time to make up for. In September [2007], they flew to the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean. At night theyrelaxed over a candlelit supper on the beach. It was during this break that they made an agreement with each other. For the next few years, they would work and enjoy their lives, knowing that at some point when the time was right, they would be husband and wife – and perhaps parents too.

Prince William and Kate were engaged in October 2010 and got married on April 29, 2011. You have to admit, that’s a pretty amazing, romantic story. We love the royal couple and they clearly made the right decision to get back together — we’re so glad they did!
