Lindsay Lohan goes shopping with drug bust rehabber Vikram Chatwal

Lindsay Lohan

According to sources, Lilo had decided during therapy session while completing her 90-day rehab stint to cut out all her toxic friends from her life to focus on sobriety and make a clean break from substance abuse, but her shopping spree with Chatwal suggests otherwise, TMZ reported.

The 41-year old hotelier, who has been to rehab approximately 4 times since 2009, was busted in April after cops say he tried to get on a plane with cocaine, weed, heroin and various prescription pills.

Lindsay Lohan celebrates her new healthy lifestyle with a cigarette

We guess Lindsay Lohan is allowed one vice (at least it's legal). But only one...
It's not herbal, don't you worry (or should it be? We're so confused)
It's not herbal, don't you worry (or should it be? We're so confused)

After her actually pretty brilliant interview with Oprah where she lifted the lid on her addiction, family and dealing with fame, Hollywood wild child Lindsay Lohan looks like she's getting her life back on track.
She was snapped with a cigarette during a night out in SoHo in New York wearing a choker which reminds us of one we used to have in 1996. Good times.
Lindsay, you've forgotten your trousers

She was also pictured puffing away standing with her sister Aliana after attending a SoulCycle class on Sunday. (We imagine SoulCycle to be a room-full of sweaty people on bikes thumping their chests while listening to Al Green.)
We reckon she should be allowed one vice though. At least it's legal.
Check out our gallery below.

Lindsay is fresh from court-ordered rehab where she completed a programmed designed to finally rid her of her booze and drug demons. The 27-year-old Canyons actress has reportedly kicked her addiction to prescription medication Adderall, has moved into a Greenwich apartment with her sister and is trying to get her acting career back on track.
She recently appeared on Oprah to speak about her troubled life. On being jailed for violating her probation in 2010, she said: "I think it was just to have some peace and just have no choice but to just sit and be. I'll never forget that moment [of being sentenced]."
She admitted that she was an 'addict', but denied that cocaine was the root of her problems: "Alcohol. That in the past was a gateway to other things for me. I haven't really done it [cocaine] more than 10-15 times - of course I said 3-4 because I was terrified of being judged.
"I never felt good the next day. It's a party thing, people would have it and do it. It went hand in hand with drinking."

When Oprah asked her how it feels to be "an adjective and verb for bad behaviour and child star gone wrong" she says that her life simply got out of hand.
"But as long as I stay honest with myself and just do the work that I am willing to do - and have been willing to do and am doing - there's nothing that can stand in the way of that. I am my own worst enemy and I know that."

Lindsay Lohan spills all on alcohol-cocaine addiction on Oprah Winfrey show

Lindsay Lohan, Oprah Winfrey

Lilo, who was sent to rehab after her March 2013 no-contest plea to reckless driving and lying to police, admitted that being confined for three months straight and then to adapt to real life, was tough, but it felt more like a true surrender compared to previous punishments, Us Magazine reported.

The 27-year-old actress revealed that she had been craving peace long before she was sent to rehab.

She said that her downward spiral began when she moved to Los Angeles in her late teens, riding high on the success of her Mean Girls show and admitted that she snorted cocaine 10-15 times in her lifetime, but only did it in order to drink more.

Despite her past trysts, she promised that this time is different and hopes to regain the success she once had.

The many comebacks of Lindsay Lohan (and why this one is the REAL comeback)

Despite all the arrests (five of them) and the rehab stays (all five, yes, FIVE) Lindsay’s biggest successes in the last seven years have been when she’s funny

Lindsay Lohan’s back! And I know I’ve said that around a million times since it all went a bit wrong back in 2006 (Er, yeah, 2006. She’s literally been ripe for a comeback for the last seven years) but I think it’s really happening this time!
Last week, she guest-hosted Chelsea Lately, the US chat show, and apparently “killed it” – making jokes about Harry Styles sex life , Kristen Stewart’s moodiness and even laughed about her “90 day court-ordered holiday” and her bisexuality. And that’s what everyone forgets – Lindsay’s acting is ok, but her comic timing? It’s amazing! She’s funny!
Ok, she probably didn’t write those jokes herself, but this is why Lindsay’s comeback will be Chelsea Handler’s show, not the over-dramatic crying and boob flashing in upcoming movie The Canyons .
Despite all the arrests (five of them) and the rehab stays (all five, yes, FIVE) Lindsay’s biggest successes in the last seven years have been when she’s funny – like when she made the fake dating video for Funny Or Die:
Or her appearances in Ugly Betty in 2008:

Or even when she was in Scary Movie 5:

She’s even funny when she falls over into a cactus.
Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay. The cactus. Funny.

There’s a reason that everyone thinks Mean Girls was Lindsay’s best ever film, and nobody mentions I Know Who Killed Me when she played a stripper with a duel personality. In fact, people mention it so little, I had to Google it to make sure it was a real film and not just a weird dream I’d had.
Now, she has her own ‘documentary series’ (reality show) on Oprah’s channel, and hopefully we’ll get to see how naturally funny Lindsay is when she’s not drunk, high or rowing with her weird, washed out mum. As long as Lindsay sticks to the comedy (and doesn’t decide she’s going to start driving around LA again), I think she really is BACK. And she’s here to stay. Grool.

The “Mean Girls” starlet headed over to the Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles where she “did visit her good friend Max,” stated her rep.
On Thursday (August 8) LiLo ended up running into Shaquille O’Neal, and he was more than happy to pick her up for a silly Instagram shot.
Meanwhile, Lindsay will film an eight-part documentary series for the Oprah Winfrey Network in the coming months, and the project will air in 2014.

Watch Lindsay Lohan's Canyons trailer for which she was branded a needy tantrum throwing diva by director

A day at work with LiLo sounds fun - Paul Schrader describes it as "tardiness, tantrums, absences, neediness and psychodrama"

Last year, Lindsay Lohan made what is certain to be a classic of modern cinema - The Canyons, co-starring porn star James Deen and directed by legendary Taxi Driver writer Paul Schrader.
At the time, Lindsay was running into all kinds of trouble - she was in the middle of several court cases and being followed by paparazzi all the time. This was pre-rehab, obvs.
And now, Paul Schrader has spoken out about exactly what it was like working with LiLo, and it sounds pretty stressful.
"Tardiness, tantrums, absences, neediness and psychodrama: Lindsay feels she must be experiencing an emotion in order to play it," he explains. "This leads to all sorts of emotional turmoil, not to mention on-set delays and melodrama."

'I really love you', Lindsay said to the glass of wine
Comparing the actress to her idol Marilyn Monroe, he added: "I think Lohan has more natural talent than Monroe did, but like Monroe, her weakness is her inability to fake it. Monroe and Lohan exist in the space between actors and celebrities. People whose professional and personal performances are more or less indistinguishable. … We call them ‘troubled,’ ‘tormented,’ ‘train wrecks,’ but we can’t turn away. We can’t stop watching. They get under our skin in a way that controlled performers can’t."
But, he ends up admitting that she's actually pretty interesting to watch. "All the drama, all the stress, that means little. A director can shoot around misbehavior. He can’t shoot around lack of charisma."

'Moi? A diva?'
The film's out on 9 August, and Lindsay's hoping to be out of rehab and at the premiere in Venice, at a film festival.
Her co-star James Deen previously described working with Lindsay as "like working with a child" and the screenwriter Bret Easton Ellis was once so annoyed at Lindsay failing to turn up to work, he Tweeted threats to go round to her house. She should just get really good at excuses, like the person who turns up ten minutes late to work everyday, mumbling something about buses and traffic ...

Lindsay Lohan Plans Reclusive Existence Post-Rehab

It’s been a tough road trying to get clean and sober, and Lindsay Lohan is willing to do whatever it takes to stay that way.
According to a report, the “Mean Girls” gal is already planning on going into hiding as soon as she comes out of rehab next month.
Rather than re-immersing in the Tinseltown scene, LiLo will move to a remote location where she’ll have time to ease back into everyday life without all the bad influences from her past.
Thankfully, Lindsay seems to be on track this time around, and her 12-step program work has been effective.

Lindsay Lohan moaning about rehab centre

Lindsay Lohan

The troubled 26-year-old actress was lucky to escape an arrest warrant and jail after Shawn Holley made negotiations with the Los Angeles City Attorney.

The ‘Liz and Dick’ star had walked out of Morningside Recovery in New Beach minutes after arriving, the Daily Star reported.

A source close to her told the publication that Lohan is already begging to switch out of Betty Ford and she has been complaining to everyone that will listen that it isn’t the best place for her.

The source said that Lohan, who was sentenced to 90 days in a locked rehab as part of her plea-bargain over lying to police about a Malibu car crash last June, says she wants to go to either a treatment centre in Hawaii, Crossroad Centre in Antigua or even Lukens Centre in Florida. This is Lindsay’s sixth visit to rehab, but she insists she does not have an addiction problem
