Olivia Wilde suffered beer burn

Olivia Wilde

The 29-year-old learned about the dangers of brewing while researching her new role as a beer-maker, but didn't take proper precautions during a demonstration at "beer boot camp" and spent weeks in pain, reports contactmusic.com

"It really hurts to get boiling beer splashed in your eye!" Wilde said.

"We were at the brewery and we were learning about the process of making beer and Jake Johnson was pouring in the hops into boiling wort (the syrupy liquid substance that makes up beer) ... and everyone else was wearing goggles except me and I leaned into his shoulder and it went into my eye.

"I felt I had to play it cool and I did, even though I was suffering terribly. I admitted it three weeks later that I was in horrible pain. We learned to respect how difficult it is to make a great beer," she added.

Olivia Wilde Talks the Big 3-0 in Glamour

Posted Thursday August 8, 2013 9:08 PM GMT

She's never been afraid to speak her mind, and now that she's on the cusp of 30, Olivia Wilde is ready to share her wisdom with her fellow 29-year-olds in Glamour.
Setting the tone, the "House" star begins, "In human years I am 29. In actress years I'm the ripe, promising age of 18 to 35. That's how it works here in Hollyweird."
Though some may fret about the milestone, Ms. Wilde divulges, "People assume actresses are afraid to get older; the truth is the roles get a whole lot more compelling once you're too old to play dumb. So I'm welcoming this development with open arms, and so should you."
With advice running the gamut from, "Enjoy your sexual prime" to "DO learn a new skill," it's clear she has a lot to say about the big 3-0.
Advising not to freak out about your accomplishment or lack thereof, Olivia says, "I'd rather be a good person who makes people happy than a dick who wins a Nobel by 32."
Soon ready to walk down the aisle herself with Jason Sudeikis, the confident actress tells women that it's ok to wait, saying, "Sure, you've attended more bridal showers than yoga classes in the past year, but that doesn't mean you're destined to be a craggy spinster, searching for roommates on Craigslist at 50. The danger with 'husband hunting' is you start to see every date as a job interview ('He does seem to be homosexual, but that might be good for fatherhood!'); it clouds your ability to get to know someone". Check out all her advice in Glamour.

Sudeikis told ELLE that he no longer gets up early to walk on a treadmill, as he has the greatest workout partner in the world, the New York Daily News reported.

He then explained that gym membership is not needed for that kind of workout.

Wilde had previously told Us Weekly that the couple had sex like Kenyan marathon runners, which could be attributed to shedding a few pounds.

She's getting ready to walk down the aisle, and now Olivia Wilde reveals a few details about her highly anticipated wedding.
In the August 2013 issue of InStyle, the 29-year-old actress dished about her fiance Jason Sudeikis and shared the designer of her wedding and bridesmaids dresses.
Check out a few highlights from Miss Wilde's interview below. For more, be sure to visit InStyle!
On her Monique Lhuillier dresses:
"[Rather than] that tortured tradition of forcing them to wear a ridiculous dress they'll never wear again, they'll have a real creation tailored for each other them. They can dye it black or purple and wear it forever."
On her relationship with Jason:
"I like having a real partner. It's the model I grew up with. It's part of why I was able to take so many chances in my life, because i felt like someone was watching my back. I could never imagine life without someone I respect, someone who offers me infinite possibilities."
On her thoughts on Hollywood relationships:
"There are spikes and dips and plateaus in this business. I've seen couples fall apart through it, and it's heart breaking. You wonder what will happen - will he love me if I'm not as successful? Will jealousy kill us? I know there will be times when Jason is working more than I am, but I'm actually excited by that. I'm excited by what he will become, what depth he has."
