One Direction probably spent more time on stage at the Teen Choice Awards than they did in their set
They opened the bash with a performance of newest single Best Song Ever and were honoured with four prizes – but some fans weren’t totally convinced by their vocals.
Some fans reckon the lads are overworked after performing most nights since their mammoth 117-date Take Me Home world tour kicked off earlier this year.
One comment on YouTube said: Oh my gosh! I love them, but I have to admit it that this performance is not so good. Harry prefers singing to palms than faces
“Maybe they’re just tired. I mean Zayn sang so low, and Louis
messed up with the lyrics. Fans should still love their idols even if
they making a mistake, and we should admit it. I can still smile looking
all of them.”
Another agreed, adding: “They needed a break before
this show. They were obviously all tired. Louis looked upset. And they
all looked miserable.”
But their allegiance of fans won’t be
giving up hope on their idols and aren’t bothered by the critics
claiming it’s reassuring to see a shaky performances as it proves – at
least – they sing live.
1D won a nice bunch of trophies, including Choice Summer Tour,
Choice Group, Choice Single (Live While We're Young) and Choice Love
Song (Little Things).
Harry Styles also won two individual awards
for being Choice Hottie and Choice Smile, which basically makes him
beautiful *elbow elbow*.

Regardless of whether you're an international teeny bopper pop star

starstruck by David Beckham, aren't you?

rocked up backstage with his kids Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper to
meet 1D after their gig in Los Angeles at the Staples Centre, it's no

Zayn, 20, must have drawn the short straw – he was turned into a bespectacled female brunette for the video.
The singer, who is dating Little Mix star Perrie Edwards, wore women’s office wear and a fetching curly wig.
Harry Styles, meanwhile, was transformed in a marketing boss called Marcel.
The 19-year-old heart-throb, who is usually seen in trendy blazers, wore a tank top and a pair of nerdy glasses.
With
the curly hair that helped make him a household name straightened and
slicked back, he ended up looking like Sir Cliff Richard in his pomp.
Liam, also 19, was given the role of a choreographer named Leeroy. He had to wear a pink headband and blonde wig.
Louis, 21, became a record company executive called Johnny – and had to hide away his locks for a bald look.
Niall, 19, had to wear padding underneath his shirt to play rotund boss Harvey.
He was also given a fuzzy ginger beard by the band’s talented make-up artists.
Best
Song Ever will be the first single released off the band’s third album,
which is due out in the autumn. The song is also featured on the
trailer for their movie, This Is Us, which is out on August 30.
A
source close to the group said they chose the music industry theme
because they like to keep their loyal fans entertained by doing
something different.
The insider said: “The boys had a great time making the movie.
“They
couldn’t believe how different they look. They can’t wait for their
fans to see them looking like this, they think they will find it
absolutely hilarious.
“Since they started out as a band three years ago, the boys have never stopped having fun and this is just

They have just finished writing their third album and for the first time every song has been penned by the band members.
It means they could net many extra millions through royalties if it sells as well as their previous albums.

source added: “The boys have learned the music industry quickly and
have loads of ideas about how they want to take the band forward to do
different things. They know that otherwise it’s easy for groups to be
put into one category and stagnate.
“They know how to give their
fans what they want so will continue to do that. The next album is much
rockier and edgy – they made sure of that by writing the lyrics
themselves.”
The boys went on X Factor as solo hopefuls but were
made into a group by judge Nicole Scherzinger, who was standing in for
Cheryl Cole at the time.
As well as becoming best pals, they have
conquered the UK, America and Australia, and had a massive hit with What
Makes You Beautiful. They also have a huge fanbase across Europe.

But despite the pressure of perfection, One Direction have insisted they haven’t scripted a single line in their upcoming 3D movie This Is Us.
The
band have been filmed on tour, at home and reminiscent returns to old
part-time jobs as director Morgan Spurlock captures their most intimate
moments as a group.
Louis Tomlinson insisted that everything that will be shown in the movie is totally genuine and the footage is of them acting “naturally.”
He said: "No, nothing at all was scripted. You know if we are asked the question, we just answer naturally.
"Because
I think that's the most important part, that we show people who we are.
And you know, to do that we can't have anything scripted. So it's all a
reality."
Speaking to Total Film, the quietest member of the five-piece, Zayn Malik, insisted the Little Things singers have “total control” of the project.

Just when you almost forgot about this year's big blockbuster, those One Direction boys release a teaser trailer of their fly on the wall documentary This Is Us.
On Friday the new trailer premiered on Daybreak and in this one the boys show a softer side - heart breaker Harry Styles visits the bakers he used to work at and hugs various old ladies.
While Zayn Malik delights by simply taking his top off, scroll down for a look.
This
trailer also focuses on the band's time in Japan, faced with all the
weird and wonderful new cultures - as well as their sell-out
performances.

The movie directed by film-maker Morgan Spurlock is giving an access all areas look on the insanely famous five-piece as they travel the world making teenage girls faint in excitement.
Niall Horan joked the cameras are following the band everywhere – even in the toilets at the BRIT Awards. Gross.
Harry Styles is excited to give fans a backstage insight and
insists they can't show off personality of the 'real them' in short
interviews or 140 character posts on Twitter.
1D3D will hit cinemas in the UK on August 29 before infecting the US the next day.

They’re one of the most in-demand pop music groups in the world, and One Direction just unveiled plans to tour stadiums all over the globe next spring.
The Where We Are Tour will kick off in April 2014, with Harry, Louis,
Niall, Liam, and Zayn visiting the UK and South America along the way.
Per the 1D Twitter account, “Yes – the guys have announced the
UK/EIRE/Latin America dates of their 2014 tour. Stay tuned for other
countries coming SOON.”
During a press conference, Harry added, “It’s important the fans and
everyone who comes to see the show know it’s going to be much bigger
with new songs. A completely different tour.”
