Crazy In Love singer Beyonce showed off the dramatic new look on Instagram - we think it suits her
Beyonce went for the chop
We all felt Beyonce’s pain when her long curly locks got caught in whirring fan on stage.
Possibly to make sure such a hair-raising incident never happens again or just because she is so beautiful that any look suits the Halo singer – Beyonce has gone for the chop.
Displaying her new demure Pixie cut on Instagram the star stunned fans with her dramatic new look.
It is quite a change for Crazy In Love singer Bey, whose long locks and crazy wigs are part of her trademark fiery look. A back view
But anyone who watches the video of Beyonce and that fan (you can see it below) will completely understand why Blue Ivy’s mum wanted less of a lioness mane.
In fact the mother-of-one’s handcrafted and custom made wig collection was once worth $1 million.
Kindly
Bey donates her worn wigs to an organization that provides pieces for
chemotherapy patients – but it remains to be seen if the charity will
receive a sudden truckload as Jay-Z’s better half is known for changing
her look in the blink of an eye. Hair-raising: How Bey looked before
Beyonce was last seen with her long locks as recently as
Monday as she performed her last show at the Barclays Center, Brooklyn,
New York but it was back in July when fan-gate happened.
It
went like this, she had a gig in Montreal, and was just minding her own
business and performing Halo when her hair got caught in a massive fan
on the side of the stage.
YIKES
And instead of having a massive screaming panic
and picturing all her extensions being pulled out and her being left
bald in front of thousands of people, Beyonce did not miss a note and
just carried on singing.
Amazing.
Watch the video below - and laugh at all the panicked security men running up, looking at her hair and running away again.
If you've seen the singer's
documentary, Life Is But A Dream, you know that she's pretty scary to
work for, so at least two of those men were like, 'my job is on the line
if I don't get this hair out of this fan'.
We like it!
It's not clear who cut Bey free in the end, but thanks to
loads of fans who kindly whipped out their phones when the disaster
happened, it's all caught on tape.
Fortunately, Beyonce could
laugh at the situation and later posted a handwritten note on Instagram,
rewriting the lyrics to Halo to fit the situation.
"Gravity can't
begin, to pull me out of the fan again/ I felt my hair was yankin'/
From the fan that's always hatin'" she posted.
During the gig, the ‘Sweet Dreams’ hit maker slowed it down to sing her song ‘Irreplaceable’ and held out her microphone for the audience to sing the words “to the left” from the same track, the Huffington Post reported.
When a fan received the singer’s mic, while he was taping the show on his smart phone, the mum-of-one said, “See, you can’t even sing because you’re too busy taping”.
The Hollywood star added that “I’m right in your face baby, you got to seize this moment baby!”
The ‘Single Ladies’ hit maker, who had done the photo shoot in 2011 for her ‘Year of 4’ album promotional campaign, can be seen flaunting her voluptuous figure in the picture, the Mirror reported.
The cover also shows the singer striking a double-jointed pose in which her arm seems to have twisted round behind her to rest on her butt.
The star showed off her impressive figure and bent her arms in an amazing way in a bid to look sexy for a magazine feature
Beyonce is a special kind of super advanced human being as
all she needs to do is breathe to cause us to scream inside with
excitement and adoration.
So you may be able to imagine our delight when previously unpublished pictures surfaced of the star posing in the buff with nothing to protect her modesty apart from some glittering gold body paint.
Bey-ons stripped off
for the shots back in 2011 for her Year of 4 album promotional campaign
and they have now been used as an impressive feature in Flaunt
magazine.
For the cover, Queen B manages to strike some sort of
bizarre double-jointed pose in which her arm appears to have been
snapped right out of its socket and twisted round behind her to rest on
her bootylicious bum.
Now, there are a lot of impressive things
Beyonce can do but actually breaking her arm to pose for a photograph
does seem a bit extreme so we're going to say there's a chance the arm
could belong to another person.
And despite looking great in the
picture and showing off her enviable figure, the superstar singer showed
how she's almost the same as the rest of us by giving us an insight
into what she likes to shove in her gob at mealtimes. Congrats Jay-Z!
She told the publication: "I'm okay with gluten. Sunday pizza is a must for me!"
Bey also opened up about one of her favourite beverages and defended her decision to work with fizzy drink manufacturer Pepsi.
She
said: "Pepsi is a brand I've grown up seeing my heroes collaborate
with. The company respects musicians and artistry. I wouldn't encourage
any person, especially a child, to live life without balance.
"When
you work out, take care of your body, rehearse as hard as I rehearsed
in the commercial, I think it's great to have a Pepsi or Diet Pepsi when
you want one. It's all about choices."
Meanwhile, the one they
call Bey recently paid tribute to her rapper husband Jay-Z after his
Magna Carta Holy Grail album went platinum and sold a million copies.
Posting
a picture of her beau in his younger years on her Instagram page with
the words "bow down" emblazoned across the bottom, Beyonce wrote:
"Platinum #MagnaCarta."
Taking some time away from her successful Mrs. Carter World Tour, Beyoncé Knowles soaked up the spotlight by covering Flaunt magazine's Summer 2013 issue.
While rocking body glitter for the gorgeous Tony Duran-shot spread,
the "Single Ladies" hitmaker dished about her gay men fan base along
with the struggles that come with her hectic career schedule.
Check out a few highlights from Miss Knowles' interview below. For more, be sure to visit Flaunt! On being considered a "Gay Icon":
"I'm flattered if I'm in the company of those great women. I think they
love that we are bold, unafraid to love, and flaunt our sexuality and
strength." On her dedicated fans donating to her charities:
"They are engaged in making a difference. We have collected tons of
donations that will go towards creating jobs and helping people get
jobs. That's something I want to celebrate. For Chime for Change we
raised awareness and over $4 million in one day for equal rights for
girls everywhere. So many people at that concert were young. They are
more socially responsible than they get credit for." On working with Pepsi and Fighting against childhood obesity:
"Pepsi is a brand I've grown up seeing my heroes collaborate with. The
company respects musicians and artistry. I wouldn't encourage any
person, especially a child, to live life without balance. When you work
out, take care of your body, rehearse as hard as I rehearsed in the
commercial, I think it's great to have a Pepsi or Diet Pepsi when you
want one. It's all about choices."
In one of the pics, the 31-year-old singer poses alongside the classic British motor on American Independence Day on Thursday, while wearing a stars-and-stripes hotpants, the Mirror reported.
According to the publication, a sign reading ‘Reserved for Mrs Carter’ was placed on the driver’s seat. Another image shows the singer sitting behind the wheel of the powder-blue limousine.
She's officially pop royalty and now Blue Ivy has the crown to prove it, plus listen to Beyoncé's new track
'Got your nose!'
We have to admit we find it more than a little annoying when baby
bore friends on Facebook share pictures of their darling offspring.
But
we'll make an exception for our mate Beyoncé who posted these
super-cute and pretty cool shots of Blue Ivy Carter on her Tumblr page.
Princess Blue will see you now
Our favourite shows baby Blue wearing a mini crown (just
casually, you know, for wearing down to playgroup) tilted to the side in
a jaunty manner.
And also BIC (as her dad Jay-Z calls her) in a pram pointing her finger at a glammed up Beyoncé's nose.
Maybe she's trying to pick it for her?
Awww.
Queen Bey also got all arty and posed with her tiny tot's Tom Ford heels (yeah, sorry Suri Cruise) on her adult feet.
We're sure we can find some in your size Beyonce
This pics are almost as cute as when Blue Ivy got up on stage and 'duetted' with her mum.
And as if that wasn't enough Beyoncé -related excitement for one day, the singer's new track has leaked online.
Called
Standing On The Sun it's a very summery affair. As you'd expect if
someone was actually standing on top of a giant ball of burning gas.
It's not to be confused with the Slash song 'Standing IN the sun'.
It sounds a bit like Shaggy's In The Summertime to us?
Beyoncé recently revealed that baby Blue is a fan of her new animated film Epic.
‘I
showed her a few of the scenes. She's still young, so her attention
span is about 20 minutes, but she did see it. She was like, “Wait a
minute. That's you!” Beyoncé said.
"So I think she figured it out. She seemed to be impressed."
And very advanced for 7 months old.
And if you wondered which celebrity baby had the best wardrobe we think the answer's now clear.
Check out this amazing dress Beyonce posted We want.
It’s no secret that tabloids tend to take liberties when it comes to
reporting the news, and Matthew Knowles is calling foul on a story The
Sun wrote about him.
According to his defamation lawsuit filed against the London
publication, the report "knowingly and maliciously misrepresented [his]
relationship with his daughter, Beyoncé Knowles, and with his granddaughter."
In their story, The Sun claimed, "Former manager talks about
family rift for the first time" and "Mathew Knowles has reportedly not
yet met Blue Ivy.” They also alleged, “Although he insists the decision
to go their separate ways was mutual, Mathew, 61, is hurt that Beyoncé
has cut him out of her life."
However, Mr. Knowles says it’s all erroneous. "My daughters and my
family mean the world to me. The barrage of repeated falsehoods spawned
by the British Sun's defamatory article has been exhausting and
personally damaging to me. No matter how many papers it sells or web
hits it generates, The Sun, like any newspaper, needs to maintain a
basic level of journalistic integrity. The Sun crossed the line when it
went after my family. The Sun needs to be held responsible for its lies
in a court of law. This happens too often to too many people, and it is
simply unfair."
The 31-year-old, who welcomed her first child - daughter Blue Ivy Carter, in January 2012, is said to be expecting again, reported New York Post. According to reports the pop superstar is said to have carefully hidden her baby bump in a high-waisted Givenchy gown at the MET Gala.
The 'Girls Run the World' hitmaker's spokesperson couldn't be reached for comment. Beyonce Knowles recently admitted she would love to give her 18-month-old daughter a sibling, because she enjoyed such a close relationship with her younger sister Solange Knowles, 26, when they were growing up.
"I would like more children. I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being a big sister."
