Bruno Mars Mother Passes Away

With just weeks to go before embarking on a nationwide tour, Bruno Mars is now mourning the woman who encouraged his musical talents.
The Unorthodox Jukebox singer’s mother, Bernadette Hernandez, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday (June 1) in Honolulu, Hawaii from a brain aneurysm.

Mars, whose real name is Peter Hernandez, has five siblings, all of whom are involved in the music business.
His late mother’s encouragement of her children’s abilities led to a family band. Of that time, the Grammy winner said, "I wouldn't trade it for anything because I feel like I can enjoy this so much."
