The Glee star made the heartbreaking trip to the hotel where the actor overdosed on heroin and alcohol
Lea and Cory
Lea Michele has been to visit the place where her Glee star boyfriend died.
The actress made the journey to a makeshift memorial located outside the hotel where Cory Monteith was recently found dead after overdosing on heroin and alcohol.
The 26-year-old hid behind big sunglasses and was accompanied by bodyguards during her first public outing since the tragedy.
She was seen outside the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver where Cory was found dead after he took a fatal dose of heroin.
Photographer
and former friend of Cory, Rik Feydick, who was also at the memorial
told Radar Online: “I saw Lea about an hour after the family saw the
body at the hospital. There were two huge SUVs out front and Lea was in
the back seat of one sitting between two bodyguards. Cory and Lea in happier times
“Lea never got out of the vehicle," he said but she looked
"crushed" as they parked in front of the memorial for five to seven
minutes.
They headed off soon and were apparently "driving crazy" once they realised they were being watched.
Feydick says how he and the Glee star had grown apart recently - and he now understands why.
He continued: “He’d become a little more evasive with me and now I think I know why."
When he met up with Cory shortly before he died, the actor asked him to leave him alone.
Feydick
said: “Cory asked me to give him some space. He didn’t want a lot of
people to know he was up there. So that’s what I did. Now I’m wishing I
didn’t.”
