We've all been there - taking a less than graceful tumble in
our high heels. Lucky for us we weren't being filmed by a full blown
camera crew
Mariah was on set of her latest video shoot when she fell
Mariah Carey was rushed to hospital after taking a tumble on the set
of her latest music video – with sources suggesting her sky-high
footwear was to blame.
Mother-of-two and diva extraordinaire Mariah was filming the remix video of single #Beautiful, directed by her husband Nick Cannon, when she fell.
Her
agent confirmed the 43-year-old Hero singer had dislocated her shoulder
and was now recovering at home after doctors reset the socket – ouch. Hero: Mariah was singing her heart out when she fell
We just hope hubby Nick didn’t get his ear chewed off by
Mariah after the accident on set at Avenue Nightclub in downtown
Manhattan, New York.
Sources told The New York Post Nick was “very loving” towards his wife after she tripped in her high heels.
And to be fair, sky-high stilettos have led to quite a few tumbles for us mere mortals as well as the showbiz elite.
Luckily for Mariah, unlike us, she had her own “private medical personnel on hand” to swoop her off to a nearby hospital. She may have to do a lot more of this
Mariah’s spokeswoman said: “Mariah Carey was injured while
filming a video for the remix of '#Beautiful', directed by her husband
Nick Cannon. She was taken to hospital, where doctors reset her
shoulder.
“She is fine and is recovering at home.”
Mariah is
next expected to perform on July 13 at a free concert on with Major
League Baseball in Central Park to benefit Hurricane Sandy Relief.
Her latest remix of #Beautiful comes just after the star announced she was quitting America’s Got Talent to concentrate on her music.
In
its original release the tune, originally recorded with Grammy
Award-winning R&B singer Miguel, peaked at number 22 in the UK and
number 15 in the US.
