Willow Smith, 12, was born to be in the entertainment business. With her famous parents Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith‘s help, the tween has found success as an actress and singer, and recently formed the group Melodic Chaotic with DJ MVSIC Fabrega. The duo released the latest video for the track, “Summer Fling” and it left people talking about the mature message and Willow’s fake accent!
Willow Smith’s Latest Song ‘Summer Fling’ Deemed Inappropriate
The tween, who codirected the video, sings about a summer romance, goodnight kisses and laying out by the beach with her love in the new track — and she’s only 12! With lyrics such as, “it’s just a couple months, but we do it anyway,” and “you tell me that I’m the one, I tell you it’s just for fun,” Willow shocked her audience with her new sound. She even used a fake English accent for the speaking parts of the song! The adult issues on the track have left many critics perplexed, thinking that she is way too young to be singing such an inappropriate song!
Willow Struggles To Make Hits After ‘Whip My Hair’
Willow may be young, but that hasn’t prevented her from landing a record deal! Willow is already signed with Jay-Z’s label, Roc Nation. It was during her time with Jay-Z that she released her debut single “Whip My Hair,” in 2010, which became an instant success. The youngest Smith has struggled since the hit, however, releasing a few tracks, none of which were able to reach the same level of fame. With all of the negative publicity surrounding the track, “Summer Fling” definitely doesn’t seem to to be the hit that she was looking for.
