fans are pretty vocal on social media anyway, but when there's some actual news - some real life, undeniable news
- about the band, the internet goes into meltdown, whimpers and then
implodes. Which is exactly what's happened since The Mirror exclusively
announced that Zayn Malik and his Little Mix girlfriend Perrie Edwards are engaged
this morning.
Perrie showed off the three-stone ring at yesterday's premiere for One Direction's film This Is Us. What a beauty (the ring and the people)
Since then Perrie's mum has confirmed the news
, telling Real radio: "It's wonderful because Zayn is absolutely
gorgeous. It's true they got engaged on Sunday and it's absolutely
lovely.
"Perrie loves him to pieces and it's perfect. They get on so well together and understand each other. It's just fabulous.
"I said 'how long's this gonna be?' and she said, 'I don't want a long engagement, but I don't want a quick one either.'
"I think they'll eventually get together and set the date.
"He did the traditional asking me and then he asked his mum and dad.
It was fabulous, it was lovely. I was like a little marshmallow - it was
so lovely."
Her brother, Jonnie Edwards, has also shared his
congratulations, writing on Twitter: "Right, My sister and Zayn ARE
Engaged! It's true! You seen the ring on the finger and all that Jazz!
